Springtime Vodka Wedge with Mint
So far in my few years of rambling on here, I have not posted one single drink recipe.
Not sure why.
They are so much easier to shoot than food.
I can mix them up, then shoot anytime of the day.
Unlike dinner foods.
Picture me moving my plate this way and that, to get the perfect angle before shooting.
All the while, my family is patiently sitting at the table, waiting.
It is dinner.
I shoot what we actually eat.
So my window of time for food styling, is very short.
That’s why most of my shots are on the same spot on the kitchen island.
Where the sun comes in and makes it a happy picture.
However, this was shot mid-day by my friend the super photographer Cindy Bell from Focus Studios.
It is not really a dinner drink.
It is a very refreshing, summertime drink.
My absolute favorite in fact.
Vodka, fresca (yes they still make it) orange juice and lime.
I added a bit of mint, in honor of spring.
After the shoot, we may have just relaxed on the back porch.
Drink in hand.
It was a very large pitcher.
And hours till dinner.
Cheers.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (8oz) of your favorite Vodka

- 4 cups ice
Instructions
Get out a nice large pitcher.

Notes
You can add all ingredients to a blender and make a frozen version as well.
